Water test

Municipal water systems, commonly called “town water,” in most cases provide availability to drinking water in only our urban settings. Private water companies exist in small numbers, offering supply to limited geographic areas.  The likelihood is the property you will choose will be served by an in-ground private well, located within the boundaries of the property.  The home inspector, hired for your inspection, with an additional charge, will sample the existing water supply and send it to an independent lab for analysis. Generally, a bacterial test is recommended, but a full range of tests are available.
